To change your Wi-Fi password, network name (SSID), or reset your modem/router settings, go to http://192.168.40.1.
How to Log in to 192.168.40.1:
- Open a web browser and type http://192.168.40.1 in the address bar.
- Enter the Username and Password, then click Login.
- Once logged in, you will be directed to the router’s settings page.
Note: The router’s IP address, username, and password are typically found on a sticker located on the back of your modem/router.

How to Change Your Wi-Fi Password and Network Name (SSID):

Can’t Connect to 192.168.40.1?
- Ensure that your device is connected to the router’s Wi-Fi network. Verify your network connection and try again.
- If you’re using a VPN or have a customized IP range, locate your router’s IP address and type http:// in the browser.
- Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, or try accessing 192.168.40.1 on a different browser.
- If these steps don’t work, you may need to perform a factory reset on your router. To do this, press and hold the Reset button for 3-5 seconds until the LEDs begin to flash. Release the button and wait for the router to reboot to its factory default settings.
